The Most Beautiful Time of Year

Through the years we all will be together.  If the fates allow.  Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.  So have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

Another day, another month and another year.  May the spirit of the holidays inspire you to strive for all that your heart desires in the year to come.  Happy holidays!

The World at My Feet

“The World at My Feet” is my latest photography project which made its debut on Instagram back in March.  It’s been a long time since I’ve had the inspiration to put together a thematic body of work, but my trip to Ho Chi Minh City really opened up my eyes.  The feedback I’ve received on these photos so far have been very encouraging and I look forward to developing this series into something more concrete.  Perhaps one day it will become a project that exceeds Instagram and the digital world.

But for now, for those who don’t follow me on Instagram, please check me out at @oisfor and follow this series at #otravels and #worldatmyfeet

Back in Business

im_back-01And it’s July.

To state the obvious, I’m long overdue for a post .. so I’ll waste no time and jump right into it!  2014 has been an amazing year so far.  From work, travel and many design projects, the past couple of months have not only been busy but exciting and fulfilling.  Our gallery participated again in Art Basel Hong Kong this year and the show was extremely well received.  Having the opportunity to work with an artist as established and talented as Peng Wei has truly been the highlight of the year so far.  It was also rewarding to see that hard works pays off.

Apart from work, the past couple of months have also involved a lot of travel firsts for me.  From Ho Chi Minh City to my first trip to Europe, I’ve done the most traveling ever in 6 months time.  I had wanted to use this year to try new things and find my “purpose” in life and even though I’m still very much in the grey, my eyes have opened up to so many more possibilities.  With another 6 more months to go, I simply can’t wait to see what else is in store for me this year.

So feeling slightly more refreshed, I’ll be working hard the next little while to make sure photos get edited and posts are posted.  Please stay tuned for more!

Winter Instagram Diary

In a blink of an eye, we’ve already reached the second month of 2014.  I bid farewell to 2013 in style and without a second to spare, dived right into 2014 with a busy start!  Traveled for work, caught up with old friends (and new), went biking in Hong Kong for the first time, fell down the stairs (and unfortunately sprained my arm) and overall made a conscious effort to stay active, It’s been an adventurous beginning and I look forward to seeing what else the Year of the Horse will bring.  Thank you for all your continuous support and can’t wait to share the new year with you!

White Christmas

Christmas 2013_r2

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, with every Christmas card I write. May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white.  Can’t help but think about home during the holiday season.  Wishing all my dearest friends from near and far a very Merry Christmas and may 2014 bring us all one step closer to each other.

Wrap It Up

Wrap It Up

There’s only one word I can use to summarize May and June, and that is busy!  From preparing for Art Basel Hong Kong to Art Macau, and more exhibitions back to back, summer couldn’t have come at a better time so I can refocus on personal matters as work is finally slowing back down.  Happy July everyone and it’s good to be back!

O is for …

Pas de Avenue Dress // Marc by Marc Jacobs Belt

It’s been one of those weeks so what better way to end it but with a balloon inspired photo shoot.  We had to rush to shoot these photos just before the sun set, but it was a lot of fun playing with the lighting and of course walking around with a giant balloon.  Last year when I came up with the idea for “O is for …”, I wanted another outlet to express my creative side.  Although I work in the creative industry, my work is never just for me.  “O is for …” on the other hand is my way to not only record but also to share bits and pieces of my life.  I must admit my favourite part so far has been putting together all my outfits, but I’ve also had a lot of fun spending time with NN sourcing locations and creating stories with my photos.  I’m sure a lot of you came across my blog through my website so I also look forward to writing more about my design process and art projects.  So whether you are a fashionista, design junkie, art lover, foodie or a fellow blogger .. please enjoy and visit often.

Connect with Me

Connect with Me

We’re all guilty of this .. perhaps me more than others .. but life just sometimes gets in the way of blogging.  Managing a gallery full time (and often with irregular hours), sometimes I just lack the time (and energy) to sit down in front of my laptop and gather my thoughts.  The problem is my mind is always racing with ideas and if only the day had more than 24 hours, blogging would be the ideal place for me to consolidate and share them.

So recently I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and joined Instagram and Pinterest.  Trying to maintain more social media outlets on top of everything else may not be the best idea, however I must admit I’m addicted to the ease of capturing and saving everything I see instantly.  I’m still relatively new at this so please bear with me as I test the waters.  But ultimately I hope I’ll be able to share even more tidbits of the world through my eyes for everyone to see.
