Ni-ji Leather Jacket // Massimo Dutti Sweater // Zara Jacquard Pants // Burberry Sunglasses // Roger Vivier Suede Flats

While I am still waiting for Hong Kong to show a hint of cooler temperatures, my mind is already set on what Autumn has to bring.  I often reminisce about the changing of seasons back in Toronto, when the air becomes crisp and the leaves begin to change colour.   Although Hong Kong doesn’t display the sights of Autumn, it still offers many of the scents, flavours and thankfully, the fashion.

Luckily, I got to test out my Fall wardrobe during our visit to Sydney earlier. With Australia at the end of their Winter season, it was also the perfect opportunity to find hidden gems at their end of season sales. I love starting the season off with a great leather jacket or a structured blazer.  Besides the practicality behind a jacket for warmth, it instantly makes any outfit more polished and refined.  And if it’s not chilly enough, simply drape it over the shoulders for another classic look.  Just like how some guys leave an extra tie in the office for an impromptu meeting, I find jackets to come in handy for those last minute situations.  Even if you’re in a pair of skinny jeans and flats, add a tailored jacket and you’re ready to meet clients!

Weekend Uniform

Jac+Jack Sweater // Nobody Boyfriend Jeans // COS Grey Tank // Roger Vivier Suede Flats // Chanel Purse

Perhaps I was influenced by the laid back Australian lifestyle, but comfort was the only thing on my mind when styling this outfit.  Although I love dressing up, sometimes weekends are just meant to be laid back and nothing is easier than your favourite pair of jeans and a cozy sweater.  I have always been on the fence regarding light denim as at times it’s simply not flattering (depending on your body type).  So while I was on the search for a great boyfriend jean, it took me awhile to battle out the pros and cons of this purchase.  My initial hesitation was wearability (as a lighter denim screams casual).  However this pair has proven to be rather versatile.  For a more put-together look, these jeans can easily be paired with a silk top and some heels.

What’s your weekend uniform?
